A missionary once told this story:
"The world is full of lost people. It is like they are stuck on the side of a cliff. They are in a hopeless situation: to far up to climb and jagged rocks below. God loves them and sent someone to go down the side of the cliff to save those people. This person can't act alone. He is not able to carry someone up the side of the cliff without some help. God also sent some people who hold the rope and help bring the lost person to safety. The person going down the cliff to rescue the perishing is a missionary, the people holding the rope are those who pray for them and give money to provide for their needs."
Urgency: Aproximately 50,000 people a day loose their grip, fall into those rocks, and spend an eternity in Hell. Let us not delay in reaching out around us and across the world!
We have a team of people who make it possible for us to bring the message of salvation to the wonderful people in Alaska. Daryl and Laura's support team holds the rope by providing financial support, prayer coverage, and help in recruiting more team members. MONTHLY (REGULAR) SUPPORT: This is the physical backbone of ministry. People who help us in this way would promise to give a set amount of money on a regular basis to free us to reach out in Alaska. This is our greatest area of need. We need an additional $1,398 a month in faith promises. We are asking for an additional 93 people to make a faith promise of $15 a month. I am sure you have lots of questions. Many of them may be on our Frequently Asked Questions page. You can also email us with any questions. PRAYER PARTNERS: This is the spiritual backbone of ministry. We keep prayer partners informed through prayer updates and ask them to share their prayer requests with us. We have plenty of prayer support right now, however there is always room for those willing to pray for us at least twice a week. To become a prayer partner...you guessed it...simply sign up on our web form.
SPECIAL GIFTS: We have people who give special gifts which cover the cost of moving back to Alaska and setting up our home. We need an additional $2300 in contributions to meet this need. If this interestes you, you can use our web form to indicate what you would like to give. You can also give directly by credit card at SEND International's website. If you do the latter, please indicate in the "notes" section that your donation is for our outgoing expenses.
INVOLVED FRIENDS: These are people who help us build our support team in a variety of ways. Some help get the word out by introducing us to their friends. One way to do this is to print out
our brochure and give them to someone who might be interested. Another way some have helped is to invite us to their home to share this ministry with their friends.
We call it a "Dessert Party". It is a lot of fun, and we don't use any pressure tactics in presenting our need. Send us an email if you would like more information about this or if you have any other ideas.
